TO KNOW JESUS PERSONALLY:
“that you may . . . believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in Him, you may have life.” A life that has meaning, direction, love and peace. This life is possible only through a personal relationship with his Son Jesus Christ.

1. God has a plan for your life.
2. God will give you direction for life.
3. God gives real peace through Jesus Christ.
4. When you die you go to live with Him in Heaven
God has a plan for your life:
God created you and has good plans for your life. To get to know these plans you must first know God personally. Jesus said: ’I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. (John 6:35) Many people never find this “LIFE” for they look in the wrong places and ask the wrong people. Only Jesus as our Lord and Saviour can give meaning and purpose in all that we do.
God will give you direction for life:
He said: “I am the Light of the World. Follow Me and you will never have to walk in darkness because you will have the Light that leads to Life. (John 8:12) With God in your life he will lead you and show you how to live a wonderful and fulfilling life.
God gives real peace through Jesus Christ.
He said: ‘When the Father send the Comforter, that is, the Holy Spirit, he will teach you everything and remind you of everything that I have told you. I am leaving you with a gift of Peace of mind.
And the peace I give you is a gift that the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. (John 14:26-27) When you die you go to live with Him in Heaven: For God so loved this world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. (John
3:16). Jesus died on the cross for you and me. He is the only one who made the perfect and full payment for our sins.
WE MUST:
Recognize that we are sinners.
For everyone has sinned, we fall short of God’s glorious standards. (Romans3:23) and Romans 3:10 : No one is right before God, no not even one. No sinner can work hard enough to earn eternal life. Instead God gives eternal life to those who believe and accept Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.
Own up and confess your sins -
and God will forgive you.
Then thank God with this prayer:
“Thank you Lord for paying for the sins that I have committed; I give my old life over to You, and accept by faith my new life in Christ. Teach me Lord the right way to live. Amen.
(Why not write your name and date on the blank line, if this is the first time you have accepted God’s Love, and placed your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.)
THE ROAD AHEAD . . .
1. Turn away from your sins.
Those who have been born into God’s family as his children, do not make a practise of sinning because God’s life is in them. They may not live a sinful life-style. Christians must willingly turn from their old sinful life-style. You now must desire to please God and obey the commands he has given you in the Bible.
2. Read and study God’s Word, the Bible, every day. It is important to get a complete Bible because it is God’s own Word to you and me. You need to read it to grow strong in your faith and in your trust in Christ.
3. In prayer you share your heart and life with God. God is listening and prayer will help you to grow closer to Him and so you will learn how to trust Him under all circumstances. Express your thankfulness for his love and care at all times. Open your heart and life to God and you will find that he will always be there, close by your side. His help is available along the way.
4. Spend time with other Christians. You are new to God’s family. Join other Christians and learn from one another. Study the Bible together and enjoy periods of praise and prayer fellowship. You will grow strong as a family together. If you stay alone you may grow lonely, weak and cold of heart. You may lose the “Joy of your Salvation.”
